For all products which will be piece dyed and for those requiring exceptional strength. Due to the fact that an extremely thin layer of aluminium foil is laminated on both sides with a dyed polyester film, this material is somewhat rigid/stiff.

Construction:

Aluminium foil laminated on both sides with polyester film and is resistant to piece dyeing due to its construction. It is not reinforced. M-A-M has a thickness of 40 mic and is available in cut widths 0,37 and 0,25 mm in silver and gold. Other cut widths are available upon request.

Polyester / Aluminium 52/48

Dyeability:

Due to its construction, M-A-M yarn is resistant to piece dyeing.

Twisting and weaving

This polyamide tape yarn is not reinforced. It is either transparent or silver metallised. It fetches the colour when used in the polyamide dye process. This yarn is versatile and is used in order to achieve a subtle sheen, e.g. for tone-in-tone effects.

Transparent polyamide film available in 15 mic, and various cut widths. The colour silver is a laminate of two polyamide films, metallised on the inner side. Thickness is 25 mic.

The N Type can be dyed using the polyamide dye process (acid dyeing) and is resistant to cationic dyeing.

M-FR is the first metallic yarn that has a flame retardant property. So this product category is available for use in contract business like hotels, theatres, airports etc. M-FR is a particularly important innovation by Fuesers Garne. Corneta M-FR is available in transparent and silver metallised.

Transparent M-FR is 18mic the silver counterpart ist 36mic with a metallisation imbedded between two foils. standard widts are 0.37mm and 0.25mm in transparent. In Silver we hold stock of the 0.37mm. Other widths may be available for sammpling or can be made to order. Minumums apply.

Dyeability :

Using the transparent in Polyester piece dyeing should work without the FR property being lost. Using the silver lamiate in the same process shall most probably cause harm to the tape. We strongly recommend to give it a try before listing it or staring large scale production.

Dyeability:

With the exception of the transparent-matt, the metallic tape used is not guarantied to withstand the piece dyeing process.

For twisting and use in the weft of weaving we recommend our bi-cone for overhead unwinding. In case of narrow weaving type M can be unrolled from the flanged bobbin to the warp.
